Dear culinary friends,

Definitively, 2009 has not been an easy year.

The world financial crisis and the situation of the H1N1 flu has made the countries and people’s lives much more complicated, so you can conclude that it has also been a difficult year to plan our 2010 WACS Congress.

But life is life, that is the way it is and we must have the power to move forward and also learn to grow when things get tough.

This has been the frame we have had to face as organizers of the XXXlV WACS Congress from January 24th-28th 2010, in Santiago, Chile. Being the first Latin American country to host a WACS Congress, we feel we have a double responsibility to make this Congress a very good one. A Congress that chefs will not only remember for having come to Latin America, but also an interesting one, well organized and specially very amusing.

After these considerations, we invite all of you to come to our Congress, to share your solidarity with the rest of our fellow chefs, and most of all with our profession and our Association.
